EMH is a fully private, 100 bed tertiary care hospital established in 1966 as a general hospital with the purpose of fulfilling the needs of a growing city for a facility providing inpatient and outpatient care. Estevez Memorial Hospital, Inc. (EMH) has grown into an institution with expanded services aimed at meeting the demand for excellent care by a progressive city.

Today, EMH serves not only Legazpi City which is the capital of Albay in the Bicol region (Region V); and the surrounding communities but also the provinces of Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate and Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte.

Estevez Memorial Hospital, Inc. was presented with a Service Award by the Philippine Hospital Association for adopting and integrated and comprehensive approach to health development that endeavors to make essential goods, health and other social services available to all the various communities it serves at an affordable cost.  Given the 22nd day of November 2006 at the Manila Hotel.
